"He helps us in all our trouble, so that we are able to help those who have all kinds of troubles using the same help that we ourselves have received from God" (2 Cor 1:3-4)God can for many people be a very abstract idea. It is a deeper knowledge of the something unknown, lingering in the hidden depth of the soul, not being known until it is vividly activated. And even then it is often not recognized as He who make all things.
But how to describe it? Only the experience itself can explain the marvelous encounter with God. As the gaze of two lovers meet, the eyes locked into each other, the physicality of the world disappears and time seem to stand still. So the same the soul loses itself if encountering the Gaze of Him who is infinite; infinite love and infinite time. The lost is lost in adoration for eternity, not able to resist the attraction of the everything that is, and everything that will ever be. Pure bliss is the entering of eternal contemplation.
Here on earth those moment are short, and few, but nevertheless profound and deep, even when sensual experience ceases again departing to the depths of the soul and only a faint mammary remains fading the something that once was.
But as lovers can move on and forget each other, the touch of God's love is always there, making an unalterable impression on the soul. The love of God is never failing, and most importantly is is always real!
It is a reality, and it seems a reality that would not be just reserved for the few. Whereas it seems that God calls people for specific tasks, and everybody is given specific gifts, God does not have favorites. We all share the same human nature, and we are all made in the image and likeness of God, we all long for the divine touch of the encounter of God, even if we don't realize it.
The promise of God is not beyonds anybody with a willing heart, searching for the God of his or her life. The invitation is always there , the mystery lingering just beyond the already know, ready to discovered. The path is there and the difficult parts of the path only help us to desire more what is to be desired most. Our vocation is to help others on the way as they help us, walking together towards the happiness which is pledged to us, the happiness which can taste her on earth and will have our eternal fill in Heaven.
The soul is filled with grace, and the pledge of future glory is given to us... Maranatha, Come Lord Jesus!
